While I was on the Scilly Isles last month I had time to wander around photographing the feathered inhabitants. I’m not terribly patient but on a few occasions I sat quietly on the beach hoping to get close enough to photograph the whimbrels, oyster catchers and linnets with varying degrees of success…

I have no idea what a group of oystercatchers is called, but this lot were marching up and down the beach in unison, peep-peep-peeping all the way!
