I was recently asked by a friend to photograph a light display in Leicester as part of the Christmas light switch-on. As you can imagine, there were plenty of interesting activities taking place around the city but my focus was a 7 minute animated projection (designed by Urban Projections) which was displayed on the wall of one of the buildings in St. Peter’s Square. I was tasked with ducking and weaving through the crowd, trying to capture the atmosphere and images of the projection itself.   This was another very challenging photographic situation – there was very little light to work and there was a large milling crowd.   I toyed with the flash on and off but large crowds are difficult to capture with a single flash…
