Photography, Still life

Odd I know.  The day after my operation and anything that required thought or much mobility was out of the question.   Just being upright to take this photo was a struggle.  The type of surgery I underwent meant my abdomen was pumped full of carbon dioxide to allow the surgeon room to manoeuvre his implements.  Even though they removed most of the air at the end of the operation, pockets of it still remained and it was mightily uncomfortable.  I felt like a bloated whale corpse on a beach, fit to burst at the tiniest pin prick. I was reminded of the exploding whale video that did the rounds on Youtube a year or so ago (WARNING – not for the faint hearted).

Why not leave a comment - it will keep me motivated!
