Last day on the Tresco today.  The sky was blue, the sun shone and we relaxed.  I headed out to find the local kestrels but was mostly unsuccessful – I had almost given up when two of them circled around my head, peering at me with beady eyes.    When I got back and loaded the images onto my computer, I realised I had inadvertently captured a sparrowhawk as well! Bonus.  Unfortunately, the photos weren’t very sharp so I’ve only shared them as record shots. Instead, I preferred to use an image of a beautiful starling as my photo of the day. Black and white suits him don’t you think!  (Top: kestrel; Middle two images; sparrowhawk; Bottom: red legged partridge)
