I gathered some photography friends and headed out for a second night in the Peaks, trying to improve on the previous night’s astrophotography attempts. It was a completely different evening, for starters there was significantly more cloud which added an interesting dimension. We arrived while the horizon was still orange from the setting sun – it was beautiful.
I took some advice from the photographic community on focussing in the dark and made a few more attempts to capture the starry skies. There seemed to be more light pollution on this occasion but I think that’s partly because I pointed my camera towards the orange glow of Sheffield. I was happier with the second attempt.
