We spent most of the day dodging rain clouds as we traipsed around Bolton Abbey, nr Skipton in North Yorkshire. The ruin is technically a priory founded in the 12th Century and is the subject of many photos, but not mine on this particular day. Instead took my 400mm F/4 prime lens hopeful for some wildlife along the edge of the river’s Wharfe. When the sun briefly poked through the clouds, the kestrel (pictured) flew onto a branch above us, ruffled his obviously drenched feathers and catch a few rays. Awww!
