181/365 – Barmouth bridge

Landscape, Photography

Another roasting hot day with blue skies and fluffy white clouds.  We walked high in the mountains again, never tiring of the breathtaking views of the river (Afon) Mawddach and the majestic Cader Idris.  After giving our muscles a workout, we headed towards the seaside for a dip in the sea at Barmouth.  On the way, we stopped to view Barmouth bridge which supports a railway line from across the river and beyond.  It is an impressive structure which I photographed earlier this year 95/365 – Pink.

At Barmouth we donned swimsuits (a rare occurrence in my life) and took to the balmy, refreshing sea, dodging jellyfish as we swam.
