Our new campsite is situated in a thick forest at the base of Moel Hebog near Snowdon. Every pitch is inhabited by at least 2 squirrels and 5 rabbits, and the clouds of midges have us flapping and swearing whenever we leave the sanctity of our van. Our plans to climb Snowdon were thwarted by a combination of poor planning, bad weather and limited transport services. Instead, we circumnavigated Snowdon via road, stopping every so often to taken in a view below the cloud line.
My photo of the day is of a mossy patch in the woods not far from our pitch. A tiny little forest within a forest!
