A whisky tasting evening is somewhat of a novelty for me both as an experience and as a photographic opportunity.  Last night we sampled some very expensive fine whiskies from Islay (West Coast of Scotland) in an informative session held by the Whisky Lounge.  Our host looked hardly old enough to drink but was bursting with enthusiasm for the spirit and had a head full of whisky knowledge.  I do enjoy whisky but it is rare that I would have the opportunity to sample a bottle topping £400 or more (being a bit of a novice, no doubt there are others of even higher calibre).   Of course, it turns out I have expensive taste because by far and away the best whisky was the 1991 Lagavulin mmmmmm…
