Good grief, I think I’ve hit an inspirational wall! I had planned an outdoor, after dark shoot using my flash, a volunteer subject and some props.  But, at this time of year it doesn’t get dark until 9.30pm, so I twiddled my thumbs until the time came when I could venture outdoors.  As I opened the front door and stepped into the night, I was confronted by wild, wet and windy weather which took its toll on my my flash and crushed my diffuser umbrella.  The conditions were impossible and when my volunteer’s teeth started to chatter, I gave up. Panic ensued – it was nearly bedtime and I still hadn’t got a shot.  I flapped around, desperate for some inspiration and this was the result.  I apologise but it was a bit of a rush job!
