119/365 – Tinkling the ivories

Black and white, Photography, Portrait, Street Photography

Every afternoon, a gentleman (of some years) wearing a green parker and a cap sits down to the old, out-of-tune piano in the concourse of Sheffield train station and plays his heart out.   He bashes out war time tunes (amongst other things) as people dash too and from their trains.   I’m usually in a rush too and often don’t stop to appreciate the entertainment. So this photograph is a nod to the cheerful pianist – thank you for your delightful commuting tunes!
