On Good Friday my partner and I travelled to North Wales in our campervan. The rain was lashing it down and as expected, the holiday traffic turned a 2.5 hour drive into a 4.5 hour drive. As we arrived at our campsite feeling a little worse for wear, the clouds parted and the sun poked through. Buoyed by the possibility of dry evening, we set off to explore the local town of Bala. It is a shabby little town with little to offer save for the beautiful lake on which it is situated, and the exceptional scenery of Snowdonia National Park that surrounds it. Having said that, I took neither a photo of the scenery or the lake!
