Sunday was a beautiful sunny spring day, a complete change from the bitter north easterly winds we’d experienced on the coast the yesterday. We walked for a few hours across the moorland surrounding Rosedale Abbey in the bright sunshine, stopping to save a group of boys who’d managed to get lost on their Duke of Edinburgh training walk. At the end of the day, we made our way home over the top of the moors, eyes peeled and camera at the ready. I was hopeful for a shot of a red grouse and was rewarded.
Apart from the grouse photo, I also wanted to share a few shots of trees we spotted along the way – oh and a grey lag goose!
