Drinking a cup of tea and looking out of the window before work, I noticed the young maple tree in my back garden was covered in droplets. With frost on the ground, I suspected the droplets had turned to ice. I was right. This was a bit of a rush job because I didn’t want to miss my train, so I think it could have been sharper.
On my walk down to the station I noticed hundreds of tiny frozen droplets twinkling on the bare branches of the hedgerow. They were like miniature Christmas lights glistening in the sunshine – beautiful.
